Infanticide - Extinction scheme CD
Genre: Grindcore
Origin: Sweden Released: 2007 Website: Infanticide Label: Emetic Records Uploaded: 09.04.08 Ive definitely enjoyed what Infanticide have produced earlier, but this time it really shreds. Theyve certainly developed over the years, and transformed into a certified monster of grindcore. Mainly Swedish bands come to mind for comparison, and Id have to say Nasum and Gadget are the closest, maybe with a touch of Regurgitate as well. Now those are pretty standard acts to bring up in a grindcore review, but you have to trust me on the fact that Infanticide are way above the general clone. Heavy, chugging and churning guitars meets the mangling, hammering drums, accompanied by a rumbling and shredding bass. The sound is an excellent companion, and gives all instruments a perfect chance to shine through. The productions not crystal clear, so dont get me wrong. Its thick but with a rough and raw edge, perfect for brutal blasting grindcore. Theres opportunity to do some serious nodding along, air-drumming and blasphemic shout-alongs, but its full of wicked grinding. The cookiemonster growls gets backed up by some harsh screams, and I love em both. This is some seriously arse-shredding grindcore, and if youre a fan of the Swedish school of blasting then dont hesitate to pick this up. Tracklist: 01. Attention whore 02. No fucking way 03.
