Man, this must be one of the ugliest logo�s I�ve ever seen, and it sure-as-hell ain�t no sweet looking demo neither; this is one ugly piece of shit. And that ugliness takes is shown off in the music as well, but this time in a good way.
Raw and ugly (as already stated), and seriously old school death metal. My guess is a band like Autopsy stands for quite some inspiration. The music and production�s so damn raw and crude, and in a really great way. A lot of bands hail themselves as �raw old school�, but what�s really the case is a piece of shit band with lacking musical talent, unable to create anything decent. But that�s surely not the case with Mass Obliteration. They know how to play and they know how to write brutal music, and they also know how to present it in a production that sounds as recorded in the late 80ies/early 90ies.
While I�d call them death metal, there�s also a good amount of doom atmosphere surrounding some of the tracks, one of them being From beyond. And with the harsh-as-hell, deep growls it comes off as an extremely arse-shredding mix. What�s also cool is the bonus stuff you can find; a video to Balls torture for preachers, a live video of From beyond and a 13 minute video where you can follow the band into the studio for recording Abrahamitic curse. A really ace demo that should bring them some attention in the underground.
