Some grindcore acts release records with twice as many songs as minutes, but a 99 track CD is unusual. If you�d remove the last track, which is just an 11 minute long noise/ambient track, the remaining 98 songs would clock in at 50 minutes.
The name says it all, there couldn�t be a more fitting name for such a project. Extremely noisy grindcore. Agoraphobic Nosebleed is the most obvious band to compare Noisebazooka to, but with a lot more noise. Even Pig Destroyer comes to mind at times, and an old Swedish band called Left in Ruins. But the promo sheet mentions acts like Nasum, Regurgitate and Blockheads for inspiration, but there�s no time to hear any such influences with so short songs.
The riffing can be just about any genre, definitely not restricted to grindcore. And it�s obviously a drummachine, going at it at full speed much like previously mentioned Agoraphobic Nosebleed. The vocals are sort of angry yelling in a frantic rampage, and not your conventional growling/screaming. And this raging grindcore is draped in a high dose of noisecore, with an end result that reminds me of Nojs Bojs. Though, I doubt you�ve heard of Nojs Bojs, as I think they only released a 7� years ago.
In small doses this is really cool, but almost an hour�s worth is too rich for my blood. What�s really cool though is that all lyrics are printed in the booklet, and that they�ve noised and grinded up the popcorn song in Aggro-polis.
