Debut by this young crustcore outfit, and judging from it they seem to be Massgravs younger brother, going for that same high-speed Mob 47 old school hardcorepunk mangle.
The lyrics arent included, but judging from their song titles they seem to have an interest in history. The opening track looks to tell the story of an execution of, just under, 100 persons back in 1520; also known as Stockholms Blodbad (the Stockholm Bloodbath). So even their name has a historical link. And so does the music, although only going back about 30 years, not 500. If it wasnt for Massgrav I would have guessed these lads to be heavily inspired by Mob 47, but I suppose they can just as well be inspired by Massgrav. A lot of stuff sounds fairly similar; high speed, frantic dual vocals and short spastic songs. But there is something setting them apart. Stockholms Blodbad offers a couple of really short tracks, only a few seconds long, that just reeks of Protes Bengt. It might just be a coincidence, but theres no question about it this is old school hardcorepunk in the 21st century.
The sound could be a little better, but the energy and charming songwriting makes up for it. The tunes are jam-packed with energy, and the fast drumming pushes the music forward into an even higher level of energy. Well, its a nice debut, and I imagine theyll get quite some attention, and fans (as long as people can overlook the fact that they sound like Massgravs younger brother).
