Oh dear, I really can�t stand Eyetofuk. I suppose it�s meant to be electrogrind of some sort, but it just sounds as slow techno with samples of moaning women and burly noises. I mean, it really, really sucks. At times the techno-shite isn�t as present, and it sound more like a cybergoregrind tune, but it rarely lasts for more than a few seconds. The opening track Drufuked is really the only song I can bare listening to, but it�s on the edge� It comes off more as an industrial goregrind song, with growls and weird riffing. But the rest� Oh jeez. Not even the sound�s any good, and it could just as well be done at home with your computer. Nope, not for me.
And after that disappointment anything would sound awesome, but trying to forget the abysmal 12 minutes I just had to sit through, I�ll do my best to give Putrid Whore a fair review. And this is definitely back to the basics of goregrind, growing deep into its roots, finding a sound that�s almost only present in today�s Mexican grind scene. Really murky, obscure sound, but without just sucking. Take the best from Decomposing Serenity, Last Days of Humanity and Cock and Ball Torture and soak it in a bit of death metal, and you�ve got the stuff. Quite lo-fi with pitched vocals, lots of groove and unusually slow drum-programming, but highly effective for the fan of true old school goregrind. Too bad they end it with a sucky outro that could just as well be one of the crappy songs from Eyetofuk.
