Putrescence - Fatal white pustules upon septic organs CD
Genre: Goregrind
Origin: Canada Released: 2007 Website: Putrescence Label: Power It Up Uploaded: 09.04.08 While the intro to Stench of vomit, vomit of stench has a vibe of technical death metal, Putrescence quickly morphs back into the old school goregrinders we know and love them for. Although the death metal shines through every now and then, this is probably the most old school gore Ive heard them. It definitely has a modern twist, but the murky production sends out enough Impetigo vibes to satisfy the die-hard fans of the Razorback Records roster. The humoristic and gored-out lyrics are still here, and once again they come offered through a drunken, delirious man with poop in his pants, growling his mind away. Gory growling and screaming, heavy, arse-ripping riffing backed up by the pounding drums. The string work offers a potent mix of death metal and grindcore, as well as a dose of hardcore at times. May it be brutal blasting or churning breakdowns, this is the shit. You get nine new tracks, plus one from their split with Embalming Theatre, an old unreleased tune, and to top it off the album ends with some live tracks from the Manitoba Metalfest 2007. Now the old and unreleased tune, Green hell, might not be their best, but its nice to hear the guys live. But I do hope Mike has washed his pants by now Tracklist: 01.
