Well I�ll be damned, Penalty Time sure have toughened up. From a quite melodic punk rock band to a rough hardcorepunk band, and I�m surely liking this a whole lot better. It�s sort of lo-fi 80ies British hardcore seasoned with a dash of American punk. It�s simple, song-along friendly and damn effective. It�s easy to get drawn into the energy and shout along in the choruses. Music-wise it�s slick, and Anders� harsh vocals deliver pissed off, frustrated lyrics. This has loads of energy and I imagine they would be a killer act to see live. I�m definitely digging it.
I�ve never heard of Wardance before, and I didn�t really know what to expect. But I would never have imagined this crustcore to flow out of my speakers. It was a long time ago since I heard anything like this, and it sure takes me back to the good ol� days. Melodic crust with dual male/female vocals, and it reminds me a whole lot of Diaspora, maybe even with a hint of Chupacabra. I can�t really say why, but I�m just really liking this. Melodic, yet aggressive �cause of the pissed vocals. It�s not the best stuff I�ve ever heard, but it�s damn charming.
