Things Fall Apart - We are all... MCD
Genre: Hardcore
Origin: USA Released: 2006 Website: Things Fall Apart Label: Crustacean Records Uploaded: 11.07.06 I was really surprised when I received this CD considering I really didnt like their previous stuff. But they still gave me a shot with the new CD. And I was even more surprised when I saw that it was sent to a really old address of mine. Ive moved twice since I lived there so its almost a miracle it still got here. Anyway this is way better than their previous CD. Punky old school hardcore, at first reminding me a bit of Intensity. But later on it evolves more into the pure American school. The first track goes off into a fast-paced tornado of harsh vocals, powerful back-ups, thick guitar and bass sound and pounding drums. And it really kicks ass. Inveterate is a bit more rocking, with some weird-ass guitarwork. But the vocals are still a strong point as it really sets a mood for the song, and drags you into its grasp. Mired in lock-step goes into a pissed off punk frenzy and the ending track, Tirer avec les deux maine is by far the best one. Melancholic lyrics, and as I said earlier the vocals are really moody, which is just perfect for the lyrics. I know just way too little about hardcore to give it a fair chance. But I really like some parts of this. And the unique and awesome looking packaging is a huge bonus. Brown cardboard printed in grey, black and white making it look hand-made. Really cool! Tracklist: 01. The least we can do 02. Inveterate 03. Mired in lock-step (cynics guide to empire) 04. Tirer avec les deux maine |
