I�ve dreaded the moment when I had to review this label sampler, mainly �cause most of the tracks are extremely boring. But what this sampler does is show off the diversity of Worldeater Records, releasing everything from pop/rock to death metal.
Starting off is a seriously schizoid track by Bugs and Rats, with their slab of weird-ass rocking hardcore. Following is a not so interesting thrashing death metal track by Returner, and a killer death blast from Decomposed. Most of the remaining tunes are crappy and/or annoying hardcore variations, with a few excellent exceptions. Syzslak, for one, delivers powerful crust/hardcore/grind, and Northern Liberties� second onslaught Chromosomatic shows off a quite charming old school punk track, Bitchslicer lets loose a thrashing tune from their upcoming CD Sex With Sharks. Other than that there�s not really much of interested. Skeleton Proof Tanks shows some potential, but it�s all utterly annihilated by the awful production. Humanasaur serves a sort of 70ies doom track, but it doesn�t do much to satisfy. However, Star Date by Kiss Kiss Kill is definitely the coolest and weirdest tune on here, with a bloody outrageous pop-esque rock tune � it just cracks me up!
To sum it all up; most tracks lack impact and are just simply boring, but with a few outstanding performances.
