If my memory serves me right Ive seen these fellows name around, at least in some distros cause of their previous splits, but Ive never actually heard them. And after a intro that Im still very skeptical on, the grinding sets in. But this is not your average grindcore, that I can assure you of. Riff-wise they flirt wildly with hardcore, which gives a certain amount of melody, as well as some metal here and there. The tempo can switch on you faster than a 14-year old kid with a major boner, blowing his load cause he just touched his first pair of boobs. And its definitely the diversity and melody that are the strong points of Whos My Saviour. It doesnt matter if they grind like hell or if its a metallic breakdown with tons of kick drum action, theres always a strong sense of melody (without getting out of hand, of course). And the dual vocals are raving and raging, absolutely fierce and energetic, just as the music.
It reminds me a whole lot of Sayyadina, but also of Man In Shackles for that melodic powerviolence touch, and I think maybe even their fellow countrymen Y and Yacpsae. Top notch musicianship, tight-as-hell in every twist and turn the music takes, with influences from a wide variety of genres. And for some reason it also has a certain German feeling about it. Im not saying that just cause their German, but theres something about it that just feels typically German, hehe. But never mind that last ranting I just made, but rather take my word for it and pick this little gem up if youre interested in grindcore breaking the trends. A rather grim album title too, I might add.
