Just a minor update before easter holidays...

I'll be away for about a week or so over the holidays, but as soon as I get back I'll get cracking on more reviews and interviews. For now you'll just have to settle for two new reviews:
 Burial Hordes - Promo 2007, CD-R - Black metal
SauroN - The channeling void, CD - Black metal

Bye bye!

March 28, 2007
Already?

Yup, this is the first of, hopefully many, more frequent updates. This means minor updates, but in the long run it also means that reviews and interview will be more up-to-date since the site'll be updated every, or every other, week. I'll do my best to keep it as frequent as often.

One new interview:
Putrescence - Arse-ripping Canadian goregrind.

Four new reviews:
Akimbo - Harshing your mellow, CD - Hardcore
Kvoteringen - Bister prognos, LP - Crustcore
Rotten Cold - Butterfly, MCD - Grindcore
Stench of Virginity - Filled with my sickness, CD-R - Death metal

MP3s with Putrescence and Carneous and a video by Putrescence.

And to other news I've also gotten a site for My Last Chapter. So if you have an account then please add me as a friend and spread the word!

See you soon (I hope).

Once again - sorry!

I'd just like to apologize once again for the extreme lack of updates during the last few months. If you wanna know why that is then just read my latest update. But now I'm back on track and I'm up to date on the promo pile, I've got my shit together and updates will hopefully be coming more frequently again.

41 new reviews this time around. And I'd like to make a huge apology to the bands and labels that have been waiting for their reviews, I really am sorry! But hopefully you'll still be able to trust me with your release in the future!

Unfortunately the interviews are a bit out of date 'cause of the delay, but here they are...
Bloodbastard - Dutch goregrind newcomers.
Carneous - Swedish death/thrash metal.
Evildoer - Raging Swedish thrash metal.
 Likskjit - Norwegian holocaust crust!

Photos of Vld, Swedish hardcore/crust.

As some of you might notice I've removed the "personal" section. I felt it'd become obsolete since I haven't had anything new to add for ages now, but maybe it'll be back in the future, I don't know...

Oki doki, that's it. Enjoy!

February 3, 2007
I'm sorry for the lack of updates, folks!

Late last year was the beginning of a new and busy time for me. First off all November through January is pretty much my busiest time of the year as almost everyone in my family has their birthdays during that time, and then of course it's christmas and new years and shite. But I've also gone back to school! Yup, that's right. I will no longer be an illiterate slob, I'll become a schooled slob instead. That, along with a few problems too personal to tell the world, has kept me extremely busy over the last few months. But I've almost caught up with all the slack, so from now on I'll hopefully be able to keep the updates coming in a more sensible order.
I still haven't finished all the reviews I have waiting, but I'm getting there. A huge apology to all bands and labels that have sent me promos and still haven't gotten anything in return - sorry! I'll get right on it! And I've also got a few interviews that I haven't been able to finish, for the same reason as everything else, but I'll get right on that as well.

Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know exactly what the hell's going on. See you in the, hopefully, not so distant future.

Boy, oh boy, oh boy...

I've worked damn hard to improve the site. A lot of improvements have been made for the review-section, and the photo download-section has gotten a serious facelift (plus some minor improvements here and there). And speaking of photos, this time around I've got pic's of Cryptopsy, Mob 47 and Sista Sekunden for you.

I thought I'd have a lot more interviews done, but I can still offer you;
Epping Forest - Black/death metal, Portugal's finest!
Grind Minded - Dutch old school deathgrind.

I told you about the photos in the download-section, but you can also find some MP3s with Grind Minded and videos with Epping Forest and Sista Sekunden.

The awesome guy Krogh of Attack!Fanzine have once again done some amazing work for me, and this time it was a couple of new banners. So spread the word of the site and put one of my new killer-looking banners on relevant sites!

I had tons of promos, and they just kept coming. So instead of waiting even longer (it's already been way too long since the last update) I decided to put my foot down and draw a limit. I have 34 new reviews for this update, but since I've still got 12 more promos left I'll get crackin' on some new reviews after the weekend.

I think that's it. These are busy times of mine, and I'm loving it!
//Kristoffer

July 11, 2006
Finally, your prayers have been answered!

Well, it took a helluva long time, but the latest update has finally arrived. The reason why it took so long is basically 'cause I've been overwhelmed by promos. But that's also the reason why I've got 41 new reviews for you to read.

And this time around I've got five new interviews for you to feast on.
Eroded - Brutal old school death metal from Germany.
General Surgery - Swedish goregrind legends.
Hotbild - Swedish crustcore/black metal hybrid.
Istapp - Swedish champions of cold black metal.
Rimthurs - Viking-influenced black metal from Sweden.

In the download section there are new videos with Depression and Istapp, MP3s with Bloodbastard, Depression, Eroded, Istapp, Kvoteringen. But also photos of Skallbrand, a Swedish punk/crust band. That was the first gig in years where I had my camera with me, and unfortunately the camera I own suck, so the pic's vary in quality. But it was enjoyable to be up there snapping pictures once again.

Well, that's it. A huge update. Hope you'll enjoy it!

Just a minor update to correct a few things.

While working on some new interviews I noticed that a few of the ones I've done in the past were missing. I couldn't find them in the list of previously done interviews. For some reason (I have no fucking idea how it happened) six were gone. I must have accidentally deleted them or something. I don't know; I'm puzzled, to say the least. But I've tracked them down and now added them to the list once again. They were all old interviews from 2005, and I know I've had them on the server in the past. I don't know, I'm very confused at the moment, but here they are once again:

A-Bomb - Industrial metallic hardcore from Sweden.
Canopy - Swedish atmospheric and doomy death metal.
Illdd - Raging Swedish crustcore.
Nominon - Hellish Swedish old school death metal.
Origin Blood - Swedish thrash metal.
Overlord Industries - Swedish thrash/black/death metal.

Anyway, that's all. I've received some stuff for review that I'll begin working on soon, and I also have some new interviews on the way.

//Kristoffer

May 11, 2006
Well, once again it took about a month to get the update going. I keep fooling myself thinking I'll have it done sooner, but well well...

I've got 20 reviews for you this time, and a little announcement; For fuck sake stop sending me nu-metal! I hate it, leave me alone!

The new interviews are:
Bile - Dutch masters of goregrind.
Ndslakt - Drunken Swedish old school crustcore.

There are quite a few new mp3s for download, thanks to Australian label Grindhead. And also a new video from Ebolie.

I've finally managed to review all old records lying around that I just haven't had the time to deal with before. So from now on I can devote my full attention to the new and incoming promos. So hopefully I'll be able to update more often in the future, hehe.

Bye bye //Kristoffer

April 07, 2006
Since the last update took so damn long to get finished I've been working hard on getting a new one done fast. It took about a week, and I will try to keep updating the site with new reviews and interviews about every two weeks. The scene news are constantly being updated.

This time I've got 11 new reviews.

There's also a new interview:
Undivine - Unholy Swedish black/death metal.

I was hoping to have the Bile interview done for this update, but you'll have to wait until next time. Some of the old interviews have gotten a discography, but there is still a long way to go before I'm finished with 'em all. Be patient!

New mp3s with Undivine.

That's it for now. //Kristoffer

March 30, 2006
Damn, this took a whole lot longer than I expected it to. The fact is I just had too much to do both personally and with the zine. Though I don't complain when I have a lot to work on with the zine, 'cause that means people appreciate what I do!

Anyway... 18 new reviews are up. I still have a bunch of albums left to review, but I had to let 'em wait in order to get these ones out of the way. If I keep waiting to update until all records are reviewed I'll never get finished!

Last time I didn't have any interview for you, but this time I have four.
Body Core - Progressive Swedish death metal.
Scott / Brutal Bands - American death metal label.
Decadence - Swedish melodic thrash/death metal.
Splattered Mermaids - Groovy brutal death metal from Sweden.

And with the interviews I've started adding the band's discography in order to present even more info on the bands. You'll find a link at the end of each new interview. I still haven't gotten the time to add this to all the old interviews, so it's just these four right now. But I hope it'll be appreciated by the readers.

A bunch of new mp3s are available for download with Splattered Mermaids, Vandd, Origin Blood, Body Core, Deathboot and Decadence. And two new videos; Body Core and Decadence - Enjoy!

Yeah well I suppose that's it. See ya next time //Kristoffer

February 7, 2006
Sorry folks, but I haven't got any new interviews for you this time. I'm working on a couple that'll hopefully get finished before the next update.

Tons of new mp3s with Illdd, Nominon, Canopy, Facing Death and Corpulent Moth. Also a new video with Canopy!

The latest reviews are:
 Bile - Camp blood
 Black Bleeding - The awakening
 Craft - Fuck the universe
 Depression - Das relikt
Embalming Theatre - The world is a stage... for murder!
 Extinction Agenda / Oppression
Konfrontation - Nedbrytningsprocessen
Shaarimoth - Current 11
Svartenbrandt - Sista dan' i rampljuset
 Unloved - Killersongs

That's it for now. Talk to you soon! /Kristoffer

January 19, 2006
Damn... This took a whole lot longer to get finalized than I was expecting... About a week after the previous update I got ill, and I've been sick since. I'm still a bit under the weather, but I finally got the energy to work with the zine. So sorry folks, didn't mean for it to take this long, and I'll do better in the future!

I still have a bunch of records to review, I thought it was better to get as many done as possible instead of waiting forever so I could have 'em all finished. So what we have this time is 14 new reviews.

The interview victims are:
A-Bomb - Hardcorish Swedish metal.
Canopy - Swedish doomy and mood filled death metal.
Illdd - Killer, raging crustcore from Sweden.
Nominon - Old school death metal hailing from Sweden.
Origin Blood - Mind-blowing Swedish thrash metal.
Overlord Industries - Weird, but cool metal from Sweden.

Initially I had some problems with the send-function for the scene news (to the right). So in case you've sent in news and you don't see them here, please just send 'em again. The problem has been fixed, and everything should now be working properly!

In the future I'll try to keep the updates smaller, and more frequent. It takes too long to get enough material together for bigger updates, and it's also a whole lot more work for me to do.

That's it. Bye for now /Kristoffer

November 3, 2005
Howdy folks!

Did you start to doubt that My Last Chapter was even alive? Well, you can stop your whining, 'cause here it is with a whole new design and url! I hope you'll all enjoy it... A bunch of improvements have been made to the site, one of them being the 'scene news' section to the right. Any news concerning your band/label? Or maybe just a band you're a fan of, and want to enlighten the rest of us with news of what's going on... Well just send it this way and I'll add it to the site for all of us to enjoy!

But because this is a new design and I've rebuilt the site there are probably a great number of flaws and faults, so if you find any please let me know - either in the guestbook or by e-mail!

The new site was made by the awesome dude Krogh of Attack!Fanzine. I owe him a great deal of thanks for his hard/great work, and for baring with me during my not-so-brilliant days when I just had no freakin' idea what he meant talking into detail about the construction of the site! You're the greatest, Krogh!
But for you who might want to take a look at what the old site was all about, you can check out the all new My Last Gallery and have a look.

Not only does the website have a new url [ mylastchapter.net ] - but I moved about a month ago, and so any future letters/promos or whatever, should be sent to my new address:

My Last Chapter
c/o Kristoffer Persson
Hjalmar Sderbergs v. 4, lgh 783
SE-291 45 Kristianstad
SWEDEN

If you've sent something to the old address you don't have to worry, it'll still get here! The post office will just redirect it to my new apartment...

A bunch of new interviews are up!
Aktiv Ddshjlp - Ripping Swedish crustcore!
Degrade - Brutal as fuck Swedish death metal!
 Depression - Classic German deathgrind!
Diskonto - Classic Swedish crustcore!
Kolumpio - Venezuelan anarcho crust/grind!
Profanation - Killer German deathgrind!

Along with this there are also 28 new reviews!

A new video has been added for download. A cool-as-hell Aktiv Ddshjlp video, I advice you to take a look!

That's it I think... Please let me know what you think of the site, and enjoy your stay here. Now go tell all your friends!
Kristoffer

Me like...

It's now decided who'll be designing the new site, it's the very talented mr. Krogh of Attack!Fanzine. I've seen some previews of what he's doing, and so far I'm very pleased. The new design will hopefully be done in time for the next update. So expect an all new, stark and improved site!

Other than that, I'm also damn pleased to present you 3 new interviews, with some DAMN fine acts!

As always new reviews, and a couple of MP3s. As expected.

Nothing new with the promo cd-r yet. But it'll happen, don't you worry!

Bye for now. /Kristoffer

19.08.05
Whop-di-doo...

Exactly one month ago since the last update, but I honestly didn't think it would take that long. It was delayed (of course, as always), but this time it had to do with my going on vacation. I took a trip down to Poland, and had a look around. It was a very interesting trip, and I've been thinking about putting my thoughts about it down on paper... We'll see if I have the energy.

As soon as I get the money for it I'll buy a proper address for the site, and have someone re-design it too. Doesn't feel very serious continuing using this crappy .tk-address anymore. And since the guestbook hasn't been working for months, I'll also have someone program a new one for me. I'll stop using all freakin' free guestbooks and addresses and shite. It never works the way you want it to! If someone has any tip for whom I should use for designing the new site, please let me know!

I've already received a bunch of new records for review, but I had to save 'em for the next update. Otherwise I'd never get finished with this one...

The work with the promotional CD-R is still on the run... More info as things take a step forward.

That's it. Bye bye. /Kristoffer

19.07.05
Ahh crap...

My bad luck just seems to be stacking up. For a long while now my computer's been infected with a virus, which caused the whole thing to fuck up. I couldn't check my email, update the site etc for a long time. I've received a lot of e-mails asking me if the damn thing will ever be updated. I'm really and truly sorry for the major delay. I especially want to apologize to all the bands/labels waiting for their review.
The ongoing interviews suffered alot from this delay too. And so from six ongoing interviews only one got finished in time for the update.
Anyway, thanks to the great help from Oskar of Splitter, I'm now back on track.

The promised promo CD-R is heavily in the works. So far 10 bands have officially signed up, but more have gotten in touch. Check out the tracklist so far.

24 new reviews this time, but as mentioned before only 1 new interview... Also a bunch of mp3s added.

Yup, well I suppose that's it for this time. I'm already working on the next update, so hopefully it's just around the corner.
Kristoffer

19.02.05
Some big news...

I'm back everybody! I know I've been hard to reach for a long time. Many have asked what's going on with the zine, and some have even been doubting if I'm still alive. Well, I am! The fact is that I moved several months ago. I was looking for a new apartment in a town a couple of hours away. And I suddenly got an offer, and I had to move in two weeks. So I was in a real hurry to pack up my life and get moving, so I didn't have time to update the zine before I left. And when I finally got settled in my new apartment there were tons of problems with getting an internet connection. Fact is that it took about 4 months before I even got a freaking dial-up connection... Anyway... I'm now back on track!

I deeply apologize to everyone who had to wait, for what seemed like forever, to see a review of their records here. I feel really bad about keeping you all waiting like that, but there was really nothing I could do. I just hope you'll bear with me and keep looking this way!

But the reviews aren't the only thing that had to suffer from this delay. The two interviews I've added are a tad out of date, but I still advice you to check it out! Strangulation and Liquid Phase are not to be messed with!

Oh, in case you were supposed to see your link up here in my link section you let me know. The fact is that a lot of people asked me to put their link here, but I lost a bunch of url's when I had a little computer breakdown during the move. So I'm sure I've forgot some of you... But just get in touch and I'll add it, ok?

What's completely new this time is that I've decided to release a compilation CD-R. Some of you might know I run a small label under the name of Evigt Lidande Productions. Well, it's under that banner I've decided to release a promo CD-R for reviewed bands. This idea is just to give smaller bands a chance to get new contacts. More info about the release here!

If you've read this far then you already know I've moved, and so of course I have a new address. Now don't worry, if you've sent anything to my old address it'll be forwarded to my new one, so I'll still get it. But in the future please use the new one:

My Last Chapter
c/o Kristoffer Persson
Frans G Bengtssons V. 5
SE-291 46 Kristianstad
SWEDEN

In the future I'll also be skipping my nick-name. The fact that my real name is Kristoffer, but that I've called myself Phuling, has caused some confusion. So I've just decided to skip Phuling when working with the zine. Yes! Phuling and Kristoffer is the same person! Phuling is just a nick-name my friends use, and that I've grown used to hearing and using. But oh-well, from now on it's Kristoffer - OK?

That's it folks... I hope you'll enjoy this little update, and I'll see y'all soon! /Kristoffer

25.08.04
Jeez...

It took a month longer than I though it would, but finally here it is. I had pretty much everything done and had just a couple of reviews left to write before the update about a month ago, and then I got sick for two weeks. It's also holiday times, so I was away for a while... And for a couple of days now my internet connection have been fuckin' with me. Well, fuck it all 'cause I finally got it updated, and what an update it is!

I have four new and killer interviews, at least I think they're killer! I added a bunch of new reviews, 21 to be exact. I also worked through the entire download-section. You can now choose if you'd like to check out the MP3's or the video's, and I also added a completely new section there with live pics I've taken, together with new vid's and sounds - So fuck'n go check it out!

If you look closely at the personal-section of this site you'll also notice I've re-worked that one too since the last update. And I added a little Java-image in there, but not all of you can see it...

I've also re-worked some of the old interviews, especially the images. Some of the logos looked like crap earlier, but I hope it's a lot better now...

Got some new links and banners and shit too. And that's all. Sorry for being such a slowpoke with the updates, it's usually my fault (with this occasion as an exception, hehe). But since most people aren't complaining and are just enjoying the work I do I'm happy... Thanks for your support! /Phuling

25.06.04
Finally, here it is! The long-awaited update.

So... I have a lot of new reviews up, and one new interview, with Herr Morbid of Forgotten Tomb. I have to say that quality wise, this has been one of my best updates ever. I've been getting totally killer-records to review. I deeply advise you to take a look. Some of them are even full pointers!

I'd also like to apologize to everyone who's had to wait for so long for this update. Some of you've had to wait a couple of months to see the review up here. I'm sorry, I'll try to work faster in the future. Just that sometimes life can get in the way, you know. But I hope you're all happy with the result, now that it's finally here.

Damn. I have loads of interviews in the works... Though some of them are talking a lot of time to get finished. But I can give you a little preview on some of them. What about Strangulation, The Kolony and Darkside, ehh?

I've re-worked the download-section. Broken links, and the fucking mp3.com-section, has been removed. And new songs are now added. Enjoy!

I've changed my email-address as I've changed server and shite.

That's it. I'm in a hurry and don't have time to tell you everything that's going on. You'll just have to wait and see what happens. Over and out /Phuling

23.02.04
Yay! I'm getting a lot better at updating!

This time I have a real treat for you. Three great new interviews. Lord Belial, Deviant and Penile Suffocation took a beating and got interviewed.

And a usual there are new reviews, and almost only really really good records. A fucking ace update!

Yup, all for now. New interviews are in the works - Liquid Phase, Kontrovers, Forgotten Tomb... Check back for more goodies. Live short and prosper /Phuling

09.02.04
Holy shit! It was a damn long time ago... How have you all been doing?
Things kept fucking up over here and I lost all lust for basically everything, so of course that resulted in the webzine being neglected a bit... Sorry y'all. But you know what it's like, we all have our moments. But either way I'm bloody back on track!

I've gotten my shit together and have finally started working on new interviews. The once where I lost all the questions/answers in the computer crash down have been re-started. So I have started creating the best damn webzine out there, once more! Haha. I'm gonna try, at least. Be sure to help me in creating the best damn webzine around by giving me tips on how to enhance the site, new functions, people/bands I should interview etc.

In this update I've added a little something in the personal-section. Or a lot, actually. New reviews of some kick-ass records are of course added. I've also started working on new sections with live photos of bands. Will hopefully have that section available soon.

Expect more frequent updates as I have new info and things to tell you all. I rule and you know it! No point in being modest. Now that I'm back on track things are gonna change. Until then... Phuling

16.12.03
An entire month went by without any updates. A lot of different aspects caused that. For instance I had tons of stuff to do for my label, computer fuck-ups, laziness etc... One of the computer fuck-ups resulted in me losing all ongoing interviews. I lost every single question and every single answer. So this time you won't find any new interviews here, instead I'll have to start all over with Liquid Phase, Article Nine and Penile Suffocation... Though I was very fortunate to have all the questions stored safely in my email for the Forgotten Tomb-interview. Modern technology can give you headaches, can't it?

But for now you can find some new reviews of extremely kick-ass albums... For the very first time I have given a record full points - 10 out of bloody 10 points goes to Ondskapt - Draco Sit Mihi Dux CD. And one of the best demos I've heard in a long time was the Hotbild - Vemod CD-R. Check 'em out!

As always the top-ten is updated, as well as the link-section... Not much this time.

I hope to be able to put up a bunch of photos soon. I've taken photos of various acts that I'd like to share with you. the problem is that I haven't got a scanner and can't afford to buy one. But I'm working on that problem. But next update you might be able to find photographs of acts such as The Forsaken, Relentless, Counterblast etc. And even of a couple of my own bands...

If something's not to your satisfaction, wanna threaten or for any reason would like to get in contact with me then just leave a little note in the guestbook or send me an email... Before I go I would just like to add a little something. The Swedish police authority sucks. Fucking bastards couldn't find their own arsehole if I drew them a map! /Phuling

15.11.03
Finally the new website is up. A huge thanks goes out to Remy of Delirium Design for designing this amazing website for me. Also a big thanks to Fredrik and Danne for their help with various thingies.
I'm very proud of the end result, but if you happen to find any mistakes then please let me know!

A bunch of new reviews are up, should definitelly check 'em out! There are also some new interviews up with Bombstrike, Crossing Chaos, Mourning Beloveth, Panthest, Relevant Few, Rzeznia and Wolfbrigade...

Hope you like what you see here!
